Oh agreed! At the time, the cheapest Contra price on Ebay was $25. FOR A NOT SO RARE GAME! Ebay is so over-inflated, it's ridiculous! But... I had to have it, and went with the cheapest I could get. And $17 for FFII, that's really not bad at all, especially since it's a FF game!

It's truly a hard feat without the code. But very doable! Congrats on the copy of Contra btw... I had to buy mine at a game store in Tulsa for about $20... So overpriced.

So you beat Contra without getting a game over screen? Was it with or without the Konami code? Cause I haven't seen many people do it without the code. I've done it on the NES, but still can't beat the XBLA version without continuing.
