About me:

Aloha! To begin with the obvious, my name is Jim and I play the ukulele. But dont let the name fool you... I'm no novelty act!

From my home studio in Santa Barbara, California, I use the convenience of the Internet to collaborate with musicians from all over the world. I try to make videos once in a while which showcase some of my best songs.

I originally took up the ukulele when my twins were still in the womb. I wanted to be able to play and sing for them, and I wanted them to grow up in a house that was always full of music. Now almost 5 years old, my kids each have a ukulele of their own and love to make as much noise as possible.

The music that inspired me to choose the ukulele as my instrument of choice was "The Cowboy Song" as sung by Tom Hanks in the movie "Joe vs. the Volcano". It was the first song I learned to play.

I hope you enjoy, and let me know if you do or don't. I welcome feedback on my playing, arranging, singing and whatever else you'd like to comment on.
