This channel is all about the model railway that I've been constructing for the last few years. It started as a free-lance BR layout, set about 1956. However, as time goes on, I've begun to add locos and stock from later and pre-nationalisation eras (mainly GWR). I find steam locos to have greater visual appeal, so at the moment I have only a handful of diesels, mostly earlier types. The layout itself is relatively small, the track area is only 6 feet by 4 feet, based on a Hornby track mat design. More photos can be seen on the New Railway Modellers (NMR) forum. http://tinyurl.com/5hg8z7 or at my Photobucket album http://s75.photobucket.com/...

Potted (made up) history
Sumware lies on the route of the former pre-grouping Great Midland Joint Railway (GMJR), in sort of No-mans land between the old GWR and LMS regions. This is why the line tends to use former GWR and LMS rolling stock.
