Yes, not to hate but I did engineering work on these, certainly not a 7.4 (454); the 8.1 was introduced with the late GMT800 body style like this one. Based on the same engine, just not the same displacement....

Sorry man, not trying to hate on your nice car, but you killed it with a Chevy motor in there. EVERYONE has a Chevy. Although I'm currently building a 65 El-camino with a pontiac 455, so hey... I have to do the reverse for once ; )
