The United Progressive Party
The UP Party,
UP with the people!
Were the MAJORITY!
People power over corporate control!
We recognize each person as an invividual of value, equal with every other, no matter their gender, financial status, sexual orientation, race, color or creed. Like cells in the body we work together as one for the betterment of the organism.
The United Progressive Party promotes the following key issues:
Human Rights.
Government that is truly of, by, and for THE PEOPLE.
Establishing the Department of Peace in the US Presidents cabinet.
Ending the illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
(These are not truly wars as theyve never been declared by congress. But then, neither were the Korean, and Vietnam Wars. These were conflicts and the US gets into them because they feel its their duty to be the worlds policeman.)
Ending the fictitious wars on terror, drugs etc. and pass a law to state the seriousness of the term war so that it may only be used when accurately applied to a declared state of war by congress. The war on drugs is stupid and designed to control and oppress. Marijuana should not only be decriminalized, taxed and regulated but should also be accepted universally for it's medical benefits.
Draft at the top; The passage of a law that says, Whenever Congress and the White House declare war all military-age children of every member of Congress, the President and the Vice-President are to be immediately conscripted into the armed forces.
To end war as a way of resolving our differences.
The repeal of the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act.
Immediate withdrawal from N.A.F.T.A. and the W.T.O.
Single Payer Healthcare for all.
Ensuring fair elections, supporting voters rights and non-discrimination at the polls.
The abolition of the Electoral College.
Restoring voting rights to all citizens not currently serving time in an institution for a crime. 1 vote for 1 person is fair and if you've paid your debt to society you should not be denied your basic rights as a citizen of the USA.
The establishment of Instant Run-off Voting as the standard in Congressional and Presidential elections.
True separation of church and state in politics.
Denial of corporate or religious influence in lobbying. Eliminating corruption in government.
Acting responsibly as stewards of the earth with preservation and conservation of natural resources, supporting renewable energy resources, i.e. wind, solar, wave, electric plug-in vehicles with a battery exchange available at the service station.
Subsidizing and protecting family farms as we transition back to pure organic farming.
Assisting homeless individuals with food, clothing and in gaining a place to live.
A livable wage and fair pay for all in the workforce.
Dissolution of the I.R.S. and the Federal Reserve and a return to the gold standard.
Enactment of N.E.S.A.R.A.
Universal rights to quality education including pre-kindergarten and college.
Support and encouragement of the arts and sciences in schools.
Responsible education for puberty aged children about sexuality.
The right of a human to choose to die if their suffering is unbearable and to be able to be assisted medically in this regard.
The right of a woman to choose abortion.
The right to establish a life partner through civil union and have it universally recognized.
Affirmative action programs and greater penalties for discrimination.
Reparations to those suffering from past discrimination of any sort.
Closing of nuclear power plants and strengthening diplomatic efforts leading to eventual complete Nuclear Disarmament.
Closing of U.S. military bases around the world and the safe return home of our troops and National Guard.
Unrestricted internet access a.k.a. NET NEUTRALITY.
Media reform involving new regulations and busting up media conglomerate monopolies.
Population control by limiting families to 2 biological children and the encouragement of adoption as a means of raising a larger family.
Lift sanctions on Cuba.
The elimination of unjust corporate influence in the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive branches of the U.S. Federal Government!.
States rights and a smaller role for the federal government regarding local issues and personal freedoms.
All U.S. Presidential Candidates receiving at least 5% popularity in a national poll debate together, without exception.
Removal of fluoride from the water.
More trains, less traffic!
A balanced the federal budget and the national debt paid off.
Reformation of intellectual property laws to deny corporations the ability to claim ownership over genes, seeds and medicines. (These things in particular must be protected as being non-patentable so that the People of the World are never driven into poverty by corporate claims over basic life necessities like food and medicine.)
