UNICEF USA: UNICEF's 2014 Year in Review

474 views 1 month ago
From the End Trafficking Campaign, to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF; from the Typhoon Haiyan emergency to Inspired Gifts -- UNICEF USA raised funds and awareness so that the world's most vulnerable children could have the medicine, clean water, nutrition, emergency relief, protection, and education they deserve. This is the story of what UNICEF USA accomplished towards that mission in one short year.

UNICEF USA wants to extend a huge "Thank You" to the selfless community that helped to raise over $590 million dollars in cash and gifts in kind in 2013. Thanks to our corporate sponsors and partners, foundations, NGOs, volunteers, donors, celebrities, and friends like you, UNICEF USA saved children's lives and helped them build better, brighter futures.

UNICEF USA: End Trafficking and Stop Child Exploitation Play

Child trafficking can be likened to modern-day slavery. Trafficking is not just an issue that happens to people in other countries. Cases of human trafficking have been reported in all 50 U.S. States. Children worldwide suffer from abhorrent acts of violence, exploitation and abuse—horrors no child should ever know or experience. Over 300 million of them are subjected to hazardous physical labor, commercial sex exploitation, fighting as child soldiers, and child trafficking.
