505 views 5 days ago
In 1911, UCL acquired a set of 30 plaster cast heads, collected by the phrenologist Robert Noel. He used them to demonstrate the facial features of 'good' and 'bad' types of people. Until recently, we knew very little about the people whose heads had been cast - that is, until a UCL Museum Studies student found Noel's book on the collection.

National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles Play

Professor Dame Anne Johnson (UCL Infection & Population Health) was Principal Investigator on the third National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles (Natsal-3), the most detailed picture yet of the British population's sex lives over the past 10 years. This series of five short videos highlights some of the findings relevant to young people and features UCL students' views on the survey's statistics.

Published in the Lancet and led by UCL in partnership with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and NatCen Social Research, the study involved interviewing more than 15,000 adults aged 16-74 between September 2010 and August 2012.
