About Me:
I have been playing guitar since the age of ten. Started out on a Honda acoustic that my uncle gave to my dad, tryed it out for a while then gave up for a week, then never put it down :).
How much do I practice a day?
I use to practice for about 6-7 hours straight everyday, never did homework so found alot more time lol. Now I hardly practice at all, only when I get a spark of inspiration to write and record a riff or sometimes a complete song.
How do I practice?
When I practice I mainly play to bands that I'm really into like Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, Led Zep ect. I dont sit down and play through scales and look up how to use chords in a certain way. Dont get me wrong I have learnt chords and scales and abit of theory, but not to the point where its so confusing you dont no how to apply it, It ends up sounding to machanical. The real stuff comes to me when I need it, just play what you hear in your head.
Do you have any of your own material?
I have 9 completed songs and over 150 ideas for songs maybe more =/ Some are half complete some are just riffs. I will be uploading some of them on this channel soon. One of them being Break Away which has also been uploaded to The Guitar Idol 3 competition.
What would be my dream job in music?
I have always wanted to be a "Rockstar" like Brian May, Zakk Wylde and Jimmy Page, but from the age of 12 up until now have found from the people I've met and bands I've played in how hard it can be to get anywhere. Right now I am happy with teaching guitar and hopefully gain the opportunity to be a studio session musician.
