The sound of a boys' choir (or "treble choir") has always been unlike that of any other type of vocal group, but Libera goes beyond that; their sound is unique, unmistakeable, and breathtaking. Director Robert Prizeman composes and arranges for the group. His original pieces are brilliant blends of old sounds and new, perfectly suited for the voices he is working with. And his arrangements of classical, traditional, and popular music are no less amazing, knowing just how to get the most of the music and his singers. And of course the boys in Libera are brilliant as well. As with any group like this, the turnover is rather high, but Libera continues to attract boys who sing beautifully, and most importantly love to sing. The joy they feel when making their ethereal music and pleasing their audiences is reflected in their sound as well as their faces.
