Hayyy.
Haley here...seems like it has been forever since I've updated on here...so I figured I should probably do so ASAP. Sorry for the lack of videos/editing in 2011 thus far...I crashed my Dell laptop 2 times (tear). Finally got a new laptop (macbook) and am looking forward to messing with iMovie and such. In case you didn't know...the name is Haley and my life revolves around horses. Photographing them, riding them, watching them...everything. I've been riding since I was 6 and am living out the "been there done that" mentality. Since 1998 I've been involved in just about any and every equine discipline. Dressage, jumpers, hunters, equitation, vaulting, western pleasure, barrel racing/gymkhana, trail, drill, 3 day eventing, etc. You'll usually find me in an English saddle flatting or jumping though. I don't own a horse, nor long term lease one, so my videos consist of a variation of horses, from a couple of barns. I tend to move around quite a bit. I would like to consider myself a competitive rider, but due to the expenses of horseback riding, I don't compete much or at any high levels. I compete in the Southern California area for the time being, but am hoping after I am done getting my Associates Degree to be moving out of the state and riding for an IHSA team or on a rated circuit. I swear I don't bite, but I have an extremely short fuse for dumb lazy people. I like my barn sh*t to stay in the stalls, not coming out of peoples mouths. Thats about all I have to say.
As far the main ponies in these movies go:
PartyLikeAJockStar- I don't think theres enough room to type about this pony, but he's a bay OTTB, retired movie/stunt horse. I began riding him Fall 2008 and we began jumping Winter 2009. We showed successfully in the Jumpers and English Eq arena Summer 2009 but called it quits when he was leased out to another rider Fall 2009. Summer 2011 I began riding him again and leased him for ETI where he sadly got hurt and sick and we scratched majority of our classes. My lease continued the rest of the summer and involved us just having fun in turn outs waiting for him to feel better.
Knights of Camelot - I started riding Camelot Winter of 2009. It was like a dream come true since I had grown up watching his owner ride him to many victories envying them the entire time. I rode him on and off from then to Spring 2010 when we broke my jump height record of 4'6'' in Chase Me Charlie. He was then leased out after the show. During our time together we were successful in both the EQ and Jumper schooling show arenas as well as Barrel racing shows.
Hampton- I started riding the Ham late winter 2010 while I was riding Camelot. I also rode him on and off till Summer 2010. We showed at an out of barn show where we were very successful in the EQ and Jumper arena. After the show he was also leased out.
Dancer- Dancer is the horse I like to call my first horse. I started leasing him in 2006, but due to legal problems with his prior owner and my barn, I was forced to stop riding him. In the years following my trainer offered to give him to me for free since no one else rode him, but he was then sold in 2008. In 2009 he had an injury and his owners put him up for sale. He came back to my barn in 2010 where I was able to work him back into shape and he was sold to a hunter barn. In our time together we enjoyed hacking flat, long trail rides, barrel racing and bareback riding.
Canon/Bronx/Drifter: The infamous no name horse. I was the 2nd rider at my barn to get to ride this little gentleman. I rode him flat for a couple weeks than had the honor of teaching him to jump. Sadly I only got to ride him for the beginning of 2011.
