Celebrating their 15th year anniversary brothers
Adolfo & Omar Valenzuela earn multiple awards in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California. August 4, 2008: Celebrating their 15th career anniversary Los Cuates Valenzuela, or the Twiins, as Adolfo & Omar are commonly known, earned multiple recognitions at the 2nd annual 'Latino Convention Radio & Entertainment/Monitor Latino' recently held in Los Angeles for their valuable contribution to Latin music.
Throughout their career the Valenzuela's have earned a reputation for being "ahead of the curve convincing huge pop stars like Thalia and Paulina Rubio to record banda songs".
The Valenzuela Twiins garnered two important awards highlighting their career. The awards where presented to them by Juan Carlos Hidalgo, President of 'Monitor Latino' and super star recording artist Jenni Rivera after a brief video reel that showcased their career accomplishments.
• BMI awarded the Valenzuela Twiins as 'the most influential & successful producers of Regional Mexican music'.
• 'Monitor Latino' for their incomparable contribution to the Latin music industry.
In addition, they received a special tribute issue of the publication 'Monitor Latino' featuring their career.
In other highlights, in 2006 the brothers spearheaded a movement when they got together with Regional Mexican super stars such as Conjunto Primavera, El Chapo, Graciela Beltran and Lupillo Rivera to record "Nuestro Himno" a song written by Pepe Garza, (programming director of the Los Angeles Regional Mexican radio powerhouse, 'Que Buena' FM) as a musical/social-political statement in regards to the current state of a lack of immigration reform.
Musically the Valenzuela Twiins' style provides an innovative fresh sound accompanied by lyrics that people can rapidly identify with through a scope of contemporary beats.
At the early age of 19 the Valenzuela Twiins where pioneers & visionaries in the Regional Mexican genre, betting on the music of their generation creating the artists, songs and the albums that would pave the way for Regional Mexican music made in the United States.
Their story begun when their Mexican immigrant parents arrived to Los Angeles in search for a better future for their 14 year old twin sons 'Adolfo & Omar' from Culiacán, Sinaloa Mexico to East Los Angeles.
Upon arriving to East Los Angeles the brothers continued to pursue their innate appreciation for music, a passion handed to them by their father who was an accomplished musician in their native Sinaloa. At an early age the brothers had already performed with super star artists such as Celia Cruz and Tito Puente during their West Coast dates.
"Music allowed us to live a very different life than that of our surroundings... in gang infested East Los Angeles, our love for music allowed us to dream big. Upon finishing high school we began helping out local artists by producing their albums and seeking distribution."
The Valenzuela Twiins musical passion transformed into a full fledged musical empire in the 90s with the launch of 'Twiins Enterprises', a recording studio, a record label and management firm from which they continue to launch some of the best new talent in Latin music made in the U.S.A.
