For an easy new "Back-to-School" hairstyle, we decided to show you this one. Many of you will remember the Lace Braid we demonstrated a few months back. Well, this is a variation of that style of braiding.
I saw this particular style on Pinterest {like an online corkboard}, a new social bookmarking site that I now use to bookmark my favorite things. I am warning you, Pinterest is highly addictive! If you follow me, you can actually @MrsHairdo a pin to me and have it show up on my "Try" pin board. To follow me on Pinterest, follow this link...

This is a very simple braid hairstyle that takes like 2-3 minutes to do. You can also get very creative with in in hairstyle combinations! Enjoy!

Our #4 is the only girl in the home with short hair, and she doesn't enjoy having her hair filmed as much as the other girls. We receive so many requests for short hairstyles, especially recently, that we sat her down and told her that it would be "her decision". If she said no, we would not ask her again.
She read the requests and said, "Sure!" So, here is one of the earliest hairstyles we have done on our girls, a Single French Back. If you do not know how to do the "stranding" for a French Braid, please click this tutorial... http://www.youtub...
You can do the single French braid down the center, or you can add two more on either side and it would be super cute!
Items Needed: Brush, comb, two alligator clips, ponytail holder, hairspray and accessory {if desired}
Time Requirement: 3 minutes
Hope you enjoy!

This is a quick tutorial on how to create a "Waterfall French Braid" {also called a Cascade Braid or Fairytale Braid}. This hairdo requires a French Braid from the front, side of the head to the back, side of the head. The key to the elegant look is instead of pulling more hair into the bottom strand as is typical of French Braiding... you allow it to fall and instead pick up a new strand from the bottom.
You can do the same to the other side and connect them in the back, or use the Waterfall Braid in various combo styles!
This is an elegant look and very good for moms, teens, and tweens! Enjoy!
