water is key. I got a LifeStraw for $20, good for filtering 1000 liters supposedly and weighs 2 oz. katadyn makes good filters too, but much more expensive. Steripens might work as long, probably not a good long term solution. LifeStraw is hard to find in US, only two places have it got mine at g...

@ecod7r my understanding is that the filter size is of 0.2 microns, which does NOT effectively filter viruses. MANY filters share this pore size (lifestraw etc), and filtering viruses in North America is not super important unless your water is contaminated with human sewage.

    Eberlestock Gunslinger Review

A Review of the Eberlestock GS05M Gunslinger backpack. This pack allows you to carry a lot of gear and easily travel with a long gun.

    TurdFerguson2727 TurdFerguson2727 commented:

I think the GS2 is a superior pack, but a less pricey consideration is the Eberlestock X3 Lo-Drag, nice wide rifle sling just like the GS2 for about $100 less. We dont have any local retailers in OK so its tough to try them out, had to get mine at a gun show from green beetle gear.
