Feel free to follow our little one as he recovers from a serious blood infection. Caleb was born nearly 3 months early, weighing in at 2 pounds and just a few ounces. He has struggled with a few medical issues, mostly his lungs and his tummy. He is now Three, and had a new stomach surgery. Afterwards, he got a severe blood infection, and had to placed on an ECMO machine to breathe for him. His lungs did not work, so he spent nearly 1 month on ECMO. He is just over a week off ECMO, and less than a week off a ventilator. These videos document his recovery from ECMO, as he gets strong enough to go home to his family.
