Can't even touch (pun) that position with the arms. I saw Dean Potter do it too. It does stretch my back, so I'll keep at to see what happens.

Up close and personal. One guy wears gloves, the other tapes up, and the woman goes bare-handed. How did the red rope get there? Did the tape guy lead up? I think you need a bit of distance perspective to complement the close ups. BTW, how long did it take each of you to make it? Nice vid.

Very precise with her shoe lace tying. John Wooden would be proud. He dedicated a whole practice to getting them right. Furthermore it's impossible to do what she does @2:59.

This is a fantastic video. It covers alot of ground (or rock). Great to view this after watching Dean Potter soloing the Rostrum, because of all the close-up work and sound.

Alot of tape on hands and ankles. You know it's a hard climb.The parachute kinda throws the question of what constitutes "free" soloing, up in the air (pun). Congrats to Dean.

Yesterday we drove what I presume to be your route (alot of uphill on the way to Hwy 80-Sunrise junction I noticed). We started from Pine Valley and ran up to the Lodge (about 3:00 up) and walk/jogged down for a total of 22. Very pretty up there and clean air to boot, nice full moon as we descen...

Just noticed those orange boots @ 1:58 look like my old Hansons's. I think they came in blue also. As I recall my first boots were orange Reichle boots with five buckles which each had something like 12 different settings. I would spend the whole day gettin' 'em just right - ha ha!
