I play on a Schmidt mouthpiece and I sound just fine. Personally, I dont like the tuba hes playing on. I like the Miraphones. But you sound great. Better than I did at your age. Though I hope your posture has improved. Being slouched like that restricts your lungs.

As a musician myself, I agree with the maker of this video. He doesn't sound like a douche at all. If you cant read music, then you shouldn't learn this piece. If you have the sheet music in front of you, and a video of what its supposed to sound like, then you should have no trouble learning it....
