About Bulgarians, they are mainly the fusion of three peoples, the East Slavic tribes that migrated to southern Balkans (Same as Russia's), Roman citizens (Thracians) & the Proto-Bulgarians. Now the later came originally from Bactria, around Mt.Imeon in the Hindukush/Pamirs, their ancient homeland (mentioned in the ancient Armenian geography Ashharatsuits). They were an Iranic people, as the majority of their words, many still used today, are of Persian and Pamir origin. The Pamyr word bulhor means Bulgarian, a citizen of Bulgaria, in all the languages of the region. According to the Machabharate, the ancient Indian epic, the Bulgarians participated in an Indian war as allies of the Indian royal clan, the Kauravs. There are loads of toponyms and hydronyms that link Bactrian Bulgaria to the Danube Bulgaria. Most famous would be to mention the river Vardar in Macedonia. In Central India, the state of Maharashtra, there is a town Vardha and the river Vardha (Kardam went this way n disapeared). Too many examples to mention here. Leaders had Iranic/Pamir names like ancient bulgarian king Kardam (ancient pamir bulgaria), Kubrat (the unifier) (magna bulgaria, caucasus, allies with armenians) to Asparukh (persian isperih, white horse rider, first ruler of danube bulgaria), Batbayan (bat & bayan, prosperous eldest son), Tsar Presian (literally means Emperor of Persia), Avitohol (child of a doe), Kotrag (first ruler of Volga Bulgaria).
It is estimated that the proto-Bulgarians left the Pamirs in the 4th century and moved to the caucasus to create Magna Bulgaria, with the capitol Fanagoria. The patriarch of Antioch, Michael of Syria writes; Three brothers, came out of inner Skitia (Central Asia) leading thirty thousand Skits (a synonym of cavalryman) and in 60 days passed the distance from the gorges of Imeon to the river Tanais (Don) which flows into the lake Meotida (Azov Sea).
In time the state became unviable because of pressure of migrating barbarians, so 4 out of 5 sons of Kubrat left. They weren't a nomadic people, because they built many cities & castles of stone, but did have large heavy cavalries that might have given that impression.
To the north, the largest Bulgaria ever, Volga Bulgaria was created. Volga means Bulgarian river, here many cities were built, the first Kreml, in Kazan. Had friendly relations to the Rus, managed to be the first state in Europe to defeat the Mongol invaders in open battle.
Smaller, but the only bulgarian state today, Danube Bulgaria was created by Asparukh (together with his brother Kuber that had settled in Macedonia). United with the numerous slavs for common interests, danube Bulgaria soon sought to unite all slavs under one banner. Low taxation made Roman citizens join, the descendants of the Thracians. Bulgaria constantly dig up Thracian tombs and find Golden treasures.

I read that Greece now bought 400 tanks, you need that, even though the economy is bad... because Turkey is trying to dominate the region and you can't show weakness now.
