Greetings! in the name of the one true God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Jesus Christ our Lord. My name is Marquest Burton, from Durham, North Carolina where I am pursuing my master's degree in Library Science at North Carolina Central University. (However, I am currently taking some time off from pursuing my master's degree to contemplate, ponder, and meditate with myself and God most High as to what my to do next in regards to my future path or direction) My testimony about how that I came to the knowledge of the truth of Christ Jesus. Before I went to college I grew up in Roxboro, North Carolina where I lived a seemingly good life for instance I did not smoke, drink alcohol, wasn't an active partygoer, shy, did not have sex yet I had an emptiness within myself that caused me simply to exist instead of live. Because of that emptiness within myself I tried to fill it with listening worldly music, ungodly movies, and internet pornography. However, by God's infinite love, mercy and compassion he drew me unto himself through my enrollment at Saint Augustine's College. While I was at Saint Augustine's College where I pursued my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2000. I was brought unto the knowledge of the truth of the one true God and Saviour Jesus Christ through the First United Pentecostal Church of Raleigh, North Carolina. I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (removal) of my sins February 18, 2001. I recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost as evidenced by speaking in another tongue as the Spirit of God gives the utterance before I was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then God began to gradually teach me about himself and lead me unto all truth concerning himself. During my final year at Saint Augustine's College, but my third year with First UPC God began gradually to enlarge my understanding concerning himself to the point that I had to leave First United Pentecostal Church of Raleigh, North Carolina. After I left First United Pentecostal I began seeking for a fellowship of geninune believers whom were striving to contend strictly for the faith of the apostles and prophets. (I based my search from the truth that I learned from First United Pentecostal such as the new birth (Acts 2:38) and the oneness of God and some principles of godly living.) Therefore, I ventured to the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostle's Faith under the leadership of Bishop Joe Gordon only to find that they were not faithfully following all the principles, statutes, and commandments of the Lord God most High. So, I withdrew from that fellowship and visited another fellowship of believers (so-called by the name of Eastern Star Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith (under the leadership of Elder Crowder), yet I had to leave because I found out that they were not contending faithfully for the faith that was once given unto the saints of God. Then during in the midst of my search God most High introduced me to the Honourable Minister and Holy Apostle Gino Jennings (whom was introduced to me via videotape by a brother I met at Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostle's Faith under the leadership of Bishop Joe Gordon). Truly, truly under his God-given guidence, direction, and teaching I have progressed in wisdom, knowledge, and divine understanding concerning God most High and his divine holy way. So, I advise all that read this brief testimony of how God brought me to the place where I am (although I am not perfect but I am striving for perfection--trying with much effort to get myself ready for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Great God and Saviour) and he is continuing to lead me into a closer walk with him. I hope and pray that this testimony would inspire someone not only to better themselves but to surrender their lives over to Lord and God Jesus Christ.
