Peace be upon you, dear brothers and sisters in Islam and in Humanity
In the Name of GOD, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Verily all praise belongs to GOD, we praise Him, we seek His Aid and His Forgiveness. Whomsoever GOD guides none can misguide and whomsoever GOD leaves to go astray none can guide. I testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except The ONE GOD alone without any partners and I testify that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is the last and final Messenger of GOD.
Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism) means to worship THE ONE GOD without associating anything else with HIM.
To believe that there is only one LORD for all the universe, Who is its Creator, Organiser, Planner, Sustainer, and the Giver of Security etc, ie ALLAH, which translated literally into English means THE ONE GOD.
This short chapter below, describes the LORD of the worlds:
In the name of GOD - Most gracious, Most Merciful
Say, "He is ALLAH, [the] One,".
"ALLAH, The Self-Sufficient Master."
"He begets not nor is He begotten,".
"And there is none comparable unto Him."
(The Noble Qu'ran V.112:1-4)
Mankind is guided, that He is ONE alone.
He has no need of anyone or anything, yet, everything is in need of Him. He is the Creator, Protector and Sustainer of everything.
He is not part of His creation.
He is not the father of anything. He is not the son of anything. He is not like anything.
He is absolutely unique and there is nothing that compares to Him.
To be a Muslim you must also believe in all of GOD's Prophet's from Adam, Noah, through to Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of GOD be upon all of them.
"Say O people of the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you that we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, lords and patrons other than God. If then they turn back, say: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to God's Will)." Qur'an, 3:64.
"Say: We believe in God, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another." Qur'an, 3:84.
The word 'Islam' literally means peace acquired by submitting your will to The One GOD.
The word Muslim is derived from the word Islam. Muslim means simply, someone who submits his/her will to GOD.
So all of the Prophets of GOD were Muslim, because they submitted their will to their LORD alone, ALLAH, the almighty and the most wise.
The Shahada is the Muslim declaration of faith and the first of the 'Five Pillars' of Islam. The word shahada in Arabic means 'testimony.' The shahada is to testify to two things:
(a) Nothing deserves worship except ALLAH.
(b) Muhammad is the Messenger of ALLAH.
A Muslim is simply one who bears witness and testifies that "nothing deserves worship except ALLAH and Muhammad is the messenger of ALLAH." One becomes a Muslim by making this simple declaration.
The Noble Qur'an - A Miracle from ALLAH to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
"And this Qur'an is not such as could ever be produced by other than ALLAH (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [ i.e. the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn, and all that exists). "
(The Noble Qur'an V.10:37)
"And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him and in the hereafter he will be one of the losers."
(The Noble Qur'an V.3:85)
We find that our Creator has given us guidance through HIS revelation, to worship HIM alone without associating any partners with HIM.
One Universal Message for the Whole of Humanity, from The Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that exists.
