It started off with parties that would give people an alternative to express themselves rather then be involved with crime. It was the voice that minorities had to show the horrible living conditions they have to live in and the corrupt system that keeps them there. Hip-hop is an expression of self, sending a message, and was made for positive effects. Today it's known to be :Gangsta rappers that sell drugs, get all the girls, and have money, and they glorify that lifestyle. If not that the newer image is these rappers that make music specificly only for clubs and parties which has no substance in the lyrics and only talk about poping champaigne, jewelary, cars, and women that appear to be sluts. BRING REAL HIP-HOP BACK AND SUPPORT THE MOVEMENT!!!
