I thought I was 'the not-so-solitary man' until I became beguiled by a faithless woman with a pretty face. She took my heart and ran off with 'Emmylou', my beloved Gibson J-45 accoustic guitar. With that blessed instrument I could play a love song so tender and beautiful that the angels would cry. That hurtful woman took up with a younger man and foolishly believed that he could serenade her with Emmylou with the same passion as I had. Unfortunately this youth's guitar playing, much like his lovemaking, was energetic, but lacked style and substance. So, she blamed the instrument and out of spite sold Emmylou to a useless vagabond, who knew her true value and coveted such a treasure. Now I search for my beloved old friend and cannot play another note until I have her back in my arms again. As I look, I collect the beautiful noises that were the background of my life as a way to ease my troubled soul. Enjoy the sounds.
