@TheeiLandBoii in a C chord its not the C-note (root note) that gives the chord a happy or melancoly sound. Its the 3rd. In a C chord your 3rd is a E. If you drop it half a step making it a Eb then you have a Cm chord which sounds more sad. If you drop the E to a Eb you are very close to a Fm by ...
