Teams compete over 3 days to write, shoot and edit a 1to 3-minute Stop Motion Film. But wait, there's a catch; teams were be provided with a sealed Top Secret style category, theme and INSPIRATION package. With CATEGORIES such as Stikfas,Claymation, Human or Office supplies and themes such as Music Video, Movie Trailer and Commercial, animators are challenged to work with familiar and unfamiliar mediums.

A panel of industry professionals, including Canada's first Stop Motion Feature Film Producer Marc Stephenson (Edison and Leo), Producer/Director JB Sugar (Jpod), Director Bruce Alcok (globalmechanic.com) and Executive Producer/Writer/Director Martin Gero (Stargate Atlantis) got together and deliberated the winners of Trick 17. Best picture, Best editing, Best use of category and theme, as well as an award for Most creative were up for grabs.
Prizes include $500 cash price, Stikfas toys, sound f/x, literature, software and more.
