@toniopickett the position is more relative to what you want to hear more, if you want more attack go to the middle or if you want resonance go towards the outside, its more about balance. by far to me i heard more issues with the heads needing to be replaced which results in a poor drum sound. m...

the g2 heads sound WAY nicer. most any sound engineer will likely prefer the g2 sound also unless they plan on overlaying samples on everything.
the g2 just has so much more tone and body. the hydraulics are just so dampened.
