Education by re-statement of the obvious.
(see "latent learning")
About Me:

Enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear reactor operator in 2001. Worked on trident ballistic missile submarines out of Bangor, WA. Recently took up building commercial satellites in the Bay Area, CA.

I am an art-loving agnostic atheist who greatly enjoys debates and discussions on morality, philosophy, religion, politics, and other social issues. I seek to share my understanding with others, along with an appreciation for the benevolent wonder and awe to be found in secular views of the universe (Humanism).

Though I am optimistic in nature, I stand against organized structures of belief that prematurely assert to "know" the unknowable at the expense of the human community. As many great minds have said before, the world would be a much better place if more conversations involved the three words, "I don't know". As a free-thinking member of civilization who advocates wisdom over strength,
I see it as my duty to remind people that,
"I don't know, and you don't either."

Whether or not it has the effect and result you intended is not so important. I myself share your sentiments to a very large degree, so perhaps I am not the person you intended to attract (although I did copy down your booklist). However, this is a record that will remain for a long while to come. Most people who find meaning, answers or something, whatever it be, may not feel it necessary to post or comment.

I share your sentiments about the more recent atheists and I partly fault the more antagonist and somewhat empty "New Atheists" or "BRIGHTS" or whatever they wish to call themselves. It seems to me like Harris, Dawkins and Hitchens are more interested in the antagonism and attention than in dialogue. This has resulted in a wave of "young atheists" who are mostly interested in attacks than in anything coherent and substantive.

Good work. I am passing it around as much as I can.

Your videos are a shining light in an otherwise long, cold and dark world that is youtube and the internet. I have to send my congrats, you what is perhaps one of the most enlightened youtube pages around! Keep up the amazing work!

It has reached the point for me that I have noticed I am mostly subscribed to people who think on the same lines as me, and put forward arguments that I could possibly make.. Most of them will do this in an entertaining and informative manner.. which is why I still watch, but I have found myself coming back to this channel and watching all of the videos again. I do this because it challenges the very nature of the argument.. and I like to be made to think rather than be re-informed of a position I already believe I hold or consider to me common sense for free thinking people.

I can't recommend or praise this channel enough! there should be twenty times as many subscribers minimum for the quality of the content. I am currently looking forward for any video produced on this channel compared to any of my other long term subscriptions.
