@BigFriendlyNinja It's E Major, F# minor would have a D natural (played in this case on the 10th fret) whereas he's using a D# (11th fret). Also (and more importantly) the root note he's playing is E. You're only one note off from the right group of notes though, not bad for a stab :)

MUCH better than the last one, but you're still going faster than your fingers can... Yet. The trick to playing fast, is to play things extremely slow till you can really play it cleanly, then increase your speed until you fuck up, then slow it way down again. A metronome will also help immensely...

I made the mistake of not using one for years because I had very good natural timing already. When I finally shut my own ego up enough to start using a metronome, my playing not on...
