Maybe Robert's cranky because he didn't get enough sleep. After all he didn't get home till after 1:00 and then he and Holly must have been up for hours after that. And he got up early to work? It doesn't leave much time for sleep!

@rhda8386 It's not wishful thinking. I think you're right that "putting an end" referred to ending the fighting she and Robert were doing. I never thought about it before, but it makes a lot of sense.

I think Robert's jealous because Holly almost did something he couldn't - shut down the Casino!!

This was a great scene! I love how Holly taunts Luke and lets him know that she's now "calling the shots". And then how easily she walks away.

Shouldn't Robert have been talking with the door closed?

"Your wardrobe could clothe half of Bolivia" was a classic line that I still remember from when this episode first aired. I just couldn't remember which storyline it was from.

Holly doesn't look confused any more.

@CatherineBellFan1 It's definitely one of the ugliest. The only one that might be worse is the plaid suit she's wearing further along in this storyline.

It looks like Luke has realized that Holly loves Robert and it's really over with her.

It's wonderful to see Holly and Robert smiling again.

This is the first time Holly has smiled in a long time. From this point on she never gives Robert a reason to doubt that she loves him and is going to stay with him!!!

Even though she won't admit it to herself Holly's looking for a reason to stay with Robert. Luke gives her a very easy escape. And Holly's free to go back to the man she really loves!!!

If looks could kill Robert just murdered Luke:)

By now Holly knows she wants to stay with Robert, but thinks she owes Luke something.

If Luke was ever in Holly's blood then Robert has replaced him. It's already obvious Holly wants to stay with Robert.

Robert's moping? Or Robert's hoping?

This is one of the best scenes ever between Robert and Luke. And one of the best lines from Robert ever is at 5:09 "Don't you know when I'm making love to a woman I don't know she loves me".

It's great how Holly is defending Robert!

@sonyab1974 Great summary. Luke was a controlling bully with Holly and their relationship never did make much sense. It was the total opposite of the loving relationship she had with Robert.

Robert the superspy was most definitely not the marrying kind at this time. One of the things that made Robert and Holly's marriage so special and unique was that he had never really been in love before until her!

I love the mixed messages they're sending in this scene. They're both fighting their feelings and acting like the ring means nothing.

I miss the Quartemaines and how they always banded together when there was a family crisis. But only Lila could be so excited about throwing a party for her husband's illegitimate son when the rest of the family is suspected of murder.

Holly's excuse for not going to the party was pretty lame, but given a choice of an evening with Robert or a bridal shower for Claudia, I'd have made the same choice.

Heather was such a great character to watch and Robin Mattson played her perfectly. However she truly falls in the category of "Characters You Love to Hate".

Lila was one of the best!

Finally the "real" Holly has arrived now that she's over Luke and has moved on.

I remember when watching this episode in 83 that this is when I knew Robert and Holly were going to fall in love. It was a long couple months waiting, but loads of fun.
