I think a lot of fear regarding this is unfounded. I've had gay and lesbian friends and they are human beings just like straight folks like myself. In the coming years, I think acceptance of others is going to become very important.

When I talk to people in cities, they seem much more aware of Peak Oil than those in the suburbs. Methinks it's more denial than anything else. Can't face a problem if your job depends on *not* facing it.
