The new wave of psy-trance mix
Woodstock, circus and technology in celebrations that last up to one week.
The style was born on the beaches of Goa, India. The biggest stars come from Israel. The festivals usually take place far from big cities and last for days on end, with the music playing nonstop. Ainspiração is in Woodstock. The astral merges the spirit of the hippies to digital technology. The result of this odd mix goes by the name of psy-trance, or psychedelic trance, or even abbreviation that is at the mouth of the galley, psy.
Several reasons explain such success. First, psy breaks the seriousness of the packed party in the last 20 years by electronic genres such as drum'n'bass or techno. Second, the atmosphere of raves evokes the effects of lysergic trance: it is lively and playful and does not hide the taste of revival of the '60s. Third, the music sounds flatter than the raves of the 90s. It serves as a gateway to both the guys and for us more mature, making the fun more democratic. Finally, the euphoric atmosphere and informal part of the show.
