Hope you can help captainLulz come to believe in Jesus. Thanks for accepting my friend request. Always have hope. He is healing my broken heart and binding up my wounds.

The gospels were first hand accounts of his divinity. And you don't need to shut off your reasoning faculties to believe in Jesus... the commands in the bible are there because its what is best for us. Following God makes your life better there is nothing to lose.

Contd. I dont believe in jesus for the exact same reason I dont believe in the millions of other religions, They all rely on a preson shuting off their reasoning faculties and believing on faith, I can not and will not "believe" in anythingf supernatural. You know exactly what that is like as you are not a hindu. I just dont believe in your god either.

The problem with those historical records are that they where all written decades or centuries after the fact by authors that had never seen ithe supposed christ. Its actually conspiucuous that the romans didnt record him doing his miracles as that certainly would have been recorded. But whether he existed or not is irrelevant to the conversation, there where many messiahs running around palistine in that age. Its whether he was divine thats the issue. Im willing to grant he existed, despite what I wrote above, but nothing has proven to me he was ever more than another dime a dozen prophet from that age. The only claims that exist to his divinity are the gospels

The bible isn't BS ... do you not believe Jesus existed at all and that's why the bible is BS? I don't know your specifics but the general Jesus isn't real thing is like saying Julius Caesar never existed. They are both in history records ...

Only if you believe the BS that is the bible. In the real universe you and him share the same burden and shame. That burden is believing in a god for whom there is no evidence. Im not really worried though, give it another 50 years and if we havent blown ourselves to smithereens, religion will be dead, reality having finaly convinced the flocks of sheep out there that they arent sheep, they never where, theyre human beings who know theres only 1 shot and than you die, not going to some fiery lake, or some angelic city in the clouds, but finished, kaput, gone, And that thought makes me very happy sir.
