Hello, and welcome to my YouTube Channel. I have always loved toys of all kinds, and my interests run from GiJoes to battery operated toys to muscle cars to photographic equipment. It all depends on your perspective of what a "toy" is. My definition is all the above.

I started on the web with a site in 1996, profiling toys and repair techniques. Through that site I met alot of interesting people and still get emails as the site is still operational. A few years ago I stopped adding to it and instead moved to creating videos of toys and profiles right here on YouTube. Since I have always enjoyed making films, this was a natural move for me.

I began collecting toys in 1988, interested in not only getting back beloved toys that I gave away, but also acquiring ones that I had always been interested in but did not have as a child.

I started out, pre-eBay, with a magazine called Toy Shoppe, which had personal and store advertisers in the back that sold vintage toys. I learned alot and my first purchases were an Amaze-a-Matic and a Johnny Astro. I also preserved the toys I DID hang onto, including my Hot Wheels, Matchboxes and Tonka toys.

I have reached many of my goals in collecting. I have a large assortment of Eldon slot car sets, Motorifics, and other cars. I have collected battery operated goodies of all types, trains, boats, and other vehicles.

I believe we must preserve these as well as automotive artifacts of the past, and share them with others as I am doing here. Otherwise, they will be forgotten and thrown into a junkheap. Preserving them gives us a link to our past, plus a lot of enjoyment in rebuilding, repairing, and bringing them back to life--not to mention playing with them and sharing them with others. That's why I am here, and that's why I am the Toy King.
