About Me:
Αποτελούμαστε από 5 σταθερά μέλη (φωνή, κιθάρα, σαξόφωνο, μπάσο και ντραμς) και κάποιους περιστασιακούς μουσικούς, ανάλογα με τις ανάγκες συγκεκριμένων συναυλιών και ηχογραφήσεων. Η θεματολογία μας είναι εξίσου πολιτική και ψυχαγωγική. Οι στίχοι είναι στα ελληνικά γιατί μας ενδιαφέρει το νόημα που καταλαβαίνει από αυτούς το ντόπιο ακροατήριο, αλλά και γιατί διαφωνούμε και με την οικονομική, και με την πολιτισμική παγκοσμιοποίηση. Ξεκινήσαμε πριν από 15 χρόνια αλλά τα 5 ήταν πολύ δύσκολα γιατί ένα από τα μέλη μας σπούδαζε στο εξωτερικό, γι' αυτό μέχρι τώρα έχουμε καταφέρει να κυκλοφορήσουμε μόνο δύο δίσκους. Κάποια από τα σημαντικότερα συγκροτήματα που έχουμε παίξει είναι οι Toasters, τα Ζώα Προς Εξαφάνιση, Χαοτική Διάσταση και Comeback Kid. Η μεγαλύτερη περιοδεία που έχουμε κάνει σ' ένα χρόνο περιελάμβανε 18 συναυλίες σε όλη την Ελλάδα.

Toxica Apovlita is the skacore band of Athens (Greece) dedicated to the struggle against capitalism and fascism.
We consist of 5 regular members (vox, guitar, sax, bass and drums) and other session musicians, depending on the needs of particular gigs and recordings. Our song themes are both political and entertaining. Our lyrics are in Greek because we actually do care about what the local audience makes out of our songs and, also, because we're against both economical and cultural globalisation. We started 15 years ago but 5 of those were pretty hard because one of our members had been studying abroad. Therefore, we've only managed to release 2 albums so far. Some of the biggest bands we've ever played with were the Toasters, Comeback Kid, Zoa Pros Eksafanisi and Haotiki Diastasi. The longest tour we've ever done within a year included 18 live performances around Greece.
