About this user

I'm a blue and tan border terrier. My official name is Greenroom Cafe Special, but you can call me "Mocha". I'm 5 years old and weigh 14 lbs.

I was born with a rare heart disorder called Reverse PDA, in layman's terms that means my heart is deformed and doesn't pump oxygen properly throughout my body so I get winded easily and can pass out due to lack of oxygen. I'm on special medicine to keep my PCV levels from getting too high, and have to go to the vet and cardiologist pretty regularly. My life expectancy is anywhere from 3 - 7 years. Healthy border terriers live well into their teens. As you can see from my videos, I try not to let my condition get in the way of having a good time and learning stuff.

I'm pretty much spoiled rotten, but extremely well behaved. A human friend of our pack, who is a retired psychologist, told my humans that I clearly have high self-esteem. :)

playing, treats, going outside, treats, *trying* to hunt chipmunks and squirrels, treats, destroying all squeaky toys, treats, hiking with my humans in my backpack (my rare heart disorder doesn't allow me to go on regular long walks like other dogs), treats, helping my humans start fires in the fireplace and then hogging the entire hearth all winter long, treats, flying on airplanes as carry-on luggage (yes, I'm small enough to do that), treats, digging in the sand at the beach, treats, going to PetSmart, treats, greeting the UPS delivery person (that usually means a new shipment of toys has arrived for me because I've destroyed all the ones from the previous shipment) and many other things.
