Sometimes I get inspired — and most of the time I have to make inspiration. But when a melody like this moves me, I must act and share my enthusiasm for such a wonderful creation. Paying tribute to earlier generations of electronic musicians — and what they did to ease my path — is a virtuous principle I believe strongly in. In turn, I admire Daft Punk for respecting Moroder's futuristic legacy, refusing to fight in the "loudness war" or perpetuate caricaturish soundalikes, and leading with their unique voice.
