@warci I agree with Paladin - a flickering oil needle is not abnormal. In fact I think one of the original road tests of the MGB in the 1960s commented on this.

Love the running man and the sands of time motif. Oh and easily the best Bond theme ever. Not so keen on the montage from other films

James Bond 007 Reviews Part 7 OHMSS (Matthew)
Matt Reviews On Her Majesty's Secret Service
NOTE: No copyright infringement intended
You have a lot of questions. Answer to most of them is that it's a reboot of the series. They were tryng to do some things differently after Connery's departure. The answer to the others, regarding plot holes, is that it's a Bond film and you don't want to think about it too hard.
This is a grea...

Inside OHMSS - Part 5
On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Part 5/5.
Interesting documentary. It's a shame they didn't expand on the back-to-basics screenplay or the great John Barry score.
Easily my favourite Bond film. I think Lazenby brought an emotional vulnerability and physicality to the role which was much needed after Connery's lack luster performance in ...

Short Documentary of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" #2!
Not sure where this came from, but here is a short documentary on the making of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." This is NOT from any DVD.
Thanks for posting - fascinating.
The claim that the Schilthorn restaurant was built by Eon Films seems a bit inaccurate tho!

My Weekly Bond: The World is Not Enough Review
This is turning more into My Bi-Annual Bond...
Can't agree with you about Brosnan or this film, but good to see you back! Thanks for posting.
The film has some good ideas but the execution of them is formulaic and Bond's relationship with Electra could have done with fleshing out in the first half of the film so that the plot twist bit more ...

Marco's Spaceriffic Reviews - The Complete James Bond Part 1: Dr. No
Marco presents reviews of every damn Bond film, except that shitty 'Casino Royale' from the sixties. Here's part one with an introduction and revie...
A fair review although I think the film has considerable interest for the amount Eon got right (and the little they got wrong) from a really early stage. Dr No also shows Bond in a colonial world (Jamaica only granted independence in 1962) which is pretty fun as all the books were set in this per...

MGB Update - Suspension Project #1 (remove fulcrum pins)
The upper fulcrum bushings are dry and cracked... the lower seals have fallen away. Time to replace them and a few other jobs under the front wheel...
Like the video - nice production values.
I'm in the middle of a MGB front suspension rebuild myself so I feel your pain! I had to cut through one of the top trunnion bolts with a hacksaw. Strange way to spend my bank holiday weekend.
