De Toys LIEST Karl-Johannes Vogt (21.3.2010) (c) www.WorldPoetryDay.de - Als Opener des monatlichen Slams POESIESCHLACHT performte ich am "Welttag der Poesie" (gemäß Unesco seit 2000) im Düsseldorfer "zakk" einige Gedichte aus den 80ern des 20.Jhd's des über 90-jährigen 10.NAHBELL-Preisträgers Karl-Johannes Vogt, bevor der eigentliche Slam-Wettbewerb begann. Vogt war persönlich anwesend und saß während der Lesung direkt vor mir, zusammen mit Peter Rech und anderen Ehrengästen wie z.B. meinen Eltern und dem privaten Jülicher Vogt-Fanclub. THE WALL: Die Berliner Mauer (13.8.1961 - 9.11.1989) November 9th 2009: 20. anniversary of UNITED GERMANY that was divided from 1961 to 1989 in a so-called "communistic" EAST and a so-called "capitalistic" WEST country. A proper wall, well-known as "The Wall" (not the Chinese!), was running thru whole Berlin, separating even buildings and by that families. Many refugees were killed at The Wall by trying to escape. Nowadays little stones in the streets of Berlin remind you of the separation line as a touristic path. I shot by accident 3 clips with this subject til now, a kind of secret trilogy (Lohmühlenbridge-docu on myspace, parts of the wall in Jülich and my 8.poetryclip) - maybe i try to find some more interesting settings downtown Berlin about that... MY 101 MOST IMPORTANT FILMS 2009-2010 THE CORRECT ORDER OF FOLLOWING BEST OF(F) COMPILATION MAKES SENSE FOR PUBLIC PRESENTATION! ATTENTION: NO SMOKE IN THE SCREENING-ROOM!!! Show the very first (empty movie screen) several times as long as people enter the location. There will be probably a need to TALK to each other as people just pretend being interested in the show, but indeed they never come because of the art but to MEET each other or even to fall in love - so let THEM first play THEIR games til they are bored and start waiting for Godot ;-) As soon as somebody asks why the event did not start yet, show the next video to make them quickly search for seats. When everybody is finally SILENTLY SITTING and expecting curiously some superficial horny entertainment: continue with the rebirth clip to make people relax again and take their drinks (NEVER SMOKE DURING THE WHOLE EVENING IN THE SCREENING ROOM!!!) and start feeling comfortable with their neighbours (or not)... At this point you can continue without break. The spooky piano now helps the audience to concentrate in good mood, so after that it makes sense to show by turns poetryclips, meditations & documentations in the further order i suggest. The last film before the LONG BREAK should be "E.G.O-L-D.EA-R-TH". Opener of the second part is "ZWiSCHENZE!T" (show it to make people return to their seats!). Now show the live concert clips and interrupt them if people want to see a second twice! All the music will be a kind of warm-up for the DJ's after-party. Engage a really famous DJ to guarantee the audience to come at all: they want to party, otherwise they will not stay til the end as my videos are totally boring if you search for comedy jokes. Finish with silent airdrums and the official last clips to surprise the audience and wake them up again :-) I guess it could develop to a fantastic NON-BORING event by that! BUT DO NOT FORGET MAKING BREAKS AS SOON AS PEOPLE DISTURB THE SHOW BY TALKING: THEY PROBABLY NEED A NEW DRINK & CIGARETTE OR JUST THE TOILETTE :-))) Something else now: Please tell me honestly where you present my clips officially (i found some on different internet domains by accident) or invite me personally to show some chosen of my best videos on festivals or in any nice crazy location: http://www.DeToysS.de (double-s for Self-Surplus).
