Actually, most of your mistakes are on the approach, not so much the landing itself. My first wasn't any better, and I'm instrument rated now, so you'll get better too. Just takes practice to get a feel for it.

Oh, and the lyric is "said you'd give me light, but you never told me 'bout the pyre." A pyre is a fire on which corpses are burned. Like most of Stevie's songs, it has a little touch of darkness to it.
