Back then I was just a generally quiet kid, well still a bit now but anyway I was always known as that kid who's good at drawing...
But in my education, I am aiming towards being an actor because I always love to entertain people, the feeling to make people smile and laugh really makes me feel happy and fulfilled.
Also acting gives me the chance to express myself and show people that im more than a quiet kid.

I always had an interest in street dance but never had the courage to try it out and always thought it wasn't for me. But it all began in the summer holiday of 2009, I started to explore more on bboy and I simply fell in love with how they fly on the dance floor. The fact I get to start it with my friends from school had also inspired and motivated me more to get into the dance scene. Then later on, I was recruited by Neko and joined KMKZ (Kamikaze) a dance crew of different dance style, my confidence grew after doing performances with them. Even after few months adventuring with these crazy mofos, I already felt these demons became a family I never had. Some next shit always happens when we are together, it is like a chemical reaction that when we are together we become a group of retarded gusy doing a lot of random demonizing, only few were able to witness this xD In the summer of 2010, Secret Recipe was born as a breakin' crew and was created along with the following members: Tofu, Curray, Toast and Banana. This was when we all thought and decided: 'There's a big world out there... And we're going to break it.' We literally dance everywhere we go.

When me and Banana entered our first battle (2 v 2) in summer 2010 . I couldn't explain the feeling, it was like... i was flying. It was so much fun when i was on the dance floor; the atmosphere, the excitement, the fear, the tension, the adrenaline rush... But the best part was that we was the crowd pleaser, it was great that we were able to make them laugh and win their hearts. It was a good opportunity to meet new bboys and getting to see their style. But most importantly it was a good opportunity to be able to create an identity for myself. For our first time batting we did pretty well, we came second considering we were battling with roughly 1 year of training, we just simply expressed ourself from our heart which reveals our personalities and colours. This was a good experience and made me realise i need to fly higher...

Why the name Bboy Tofu? Well, because I love to eat tofu :) Also what made me like tofu even more was the anime/manga called Initial D, though the tofu isn't that important in it but I'm a big fan of Initial D and it is my number 1 manga/anime.
I had the name looong time ago, maybe somewhere around when I started secondary school and my friends started to call me Tofu. When I started break dancing, I did try to think of something original but fuk me.. it's hard so then I gave up and sticked with Tofu. I soon realized the name Tofu defines me who I am: Tofu expresses my dance style... which is POWER!! HOW?? Because TOFU is a great source of PROTEIN!!! I am a big fan of power moves and I only dream to pull off hard moves and combos that my opponent couldn't do. Tofu can also represent the Asian culture I have in me and so I gotta make sure everyone get to taste of that ;D Also the colour of tofu is white and my favourite colour is white :P Now in my dictionary, white means light, goodness, positive, faith, purity, clean, heaven, elegance and innocence. Not saying that's all me but close enough lol. Yes to me, white is a colour of perfection.... Maybe blue too xD Furthermore, in a Vietnamese funeral, it is cultural that family members wears white clothing. So when battling with me, I plan to destroy you and have your funeral on the dance floor lol. I'm a nice guy really :D

Why did i chose to step upon this world? well.. bboy helps me escape from the reality, also it is a good way for me to keep get away from the stress and my problems. I feel so free when im on the dance floor, because you can literally do anything... random shits or add other dance style to it. This this why i love breakin', it had open me up and allows me to express myself. This is how i seek for freedom.

So yeah, the world of bboy had given me the chance to meet a lot of dancers and non-dancers as well. Most importantly, bboying enables me to put a smile on people's face and with Secret Recipe I am able to do that with them in whole different level. I am very fortunate to step into this world, I plan to keep this art continuing in my life and hoping the family will grow and be free together. I am still exploring... after all Breakin' is full of flavours.

This is it so far. Bboy Tofu still in training with Secret Recipe. And still dreaming about flying.
