Great song though, despite being written by a 'coward'

I remember Courtney Love hanging around in Liverpool with Julian Cope, in fact in Erics before it shut. She looked good, but was quite intimidating to a young lad

    Toffeeboyish Toffeeboyish commented:

ga100li - You clearly know your stuff. Oh hang on, you dont.

Taxi was in fact written 2 years before Airport by the Motors, and actually released before the Motors were formed.

The song was also written and released before Music by John Miles.

So using your logic, can we conclude the Motors...

The live footage was from a live concert that Queen did for the BBC in Christmas 1975. I remember waiting in anticipation, but the live version of Bohemian Rhapsody was utterly terrible. Thankfully the great recorded version has been dubbed onto it.

'The Cure's version'? You mean THE version - compare the copies not the original. It is like saying I love West Side Story, but Shakesperes 'version' of Romeo and Juliet just doesnt have the same blah blah blah.......

    Toffeeboyish Toffeeboyish commented:

This is utterly fantastic. XTC led by Andy Partridge are one of the most intelligent and articulate bands to come out of the punk scene, and they never sold out. The criticism is ridiculous mainly themed on the fact that they dont sound like Dylan, Neil Young, or (deep breath) Dave Mathews.
