About Me:
At the Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships he won the Individual gold medal in 2005, the Individual bronze medal in 2009 and 2010, as well as four Team gold medals over the past six years. He has served as a member of the Canadian National Fly Fishing Team a total of nine times (once as captain), and competed at the North American, European, Commonwealth, and World Fly Fishing Championships.
He has traveled extensively to the United Kingdom and Europe, in order to study the fly fishing techniques that are used by their stillwater and river anglers. In 2006 he flew to the Czech Republic to study and receive coaching about the river nymphing techniques used by competitive fly fishers in that country (Czech Nymphing), and repeated this in 2007 with a trip to Poland (Polish Nymphing). He traveled to study "loch-style" fishing with international coaches in England, Scotland and North Wales.
Todd has had many of his articles and photography published in local and national fly fishing magazines, as well as online. He has designed a series of fly fishing courses and presentations based on the coaching that he has received during his travels abroad and from his personal observations and experiences while fly fishing in British Columbia. Through these presentations he reveals some of the strategies and techniques that have helped to make him one of Canada's highest-ranked, competitive fly fishermen.
