Thaqalayn Muslim Association (TMA) is a university based student organization that derives its name from al-thaqalayn, the foundation on which TMA rests, namely the teachings of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt (household of Prophet Muhammad). Existing in a diverse arena rich with a multiplicity of thought, TMA finds itself returning to the era of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (a) whose university was an institution of openness and his relations with others was one of dialogue. Thus, while catering to the needs of Shii students, TMA often finds itself sharing a common platform with their Sunni brothers, as well as their non-Muslim friends. The organizations philosophy, derived from Imam Ali (a), is that if one is not a brother in faith, than certainly he is a brother in humanity.
