To educate Christians about the concept of tithing.
Tithing is never referred to earned income. Abraham tithed only once not from his income but from the best of the war spoils. Abraham gave 90% back to King of Sodom. Jacobs tithe was a conditional vow, Issac did not tithe, 3 distinct tithes under the law of Moses, none of the NT verses mention tithing do not have tithing as their primary subject!
How did early Christians tithe to all 5 folder ministers if they really tithed? How can a single pastor get the whole tithe by doing injustice to the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists and Teachers?. The act of robbing God was committed by Levites and Priests and not by the people and it refers to only food and not money!
First tithe - Levitical Tithe - Every year 10% food and animals, eaten anywhere only by Levites. Levites sub-tithed to the Priests the tenth of the 10th.
Second tithe - Festival Tithe - Every year 10% food and first born animals participated - Only eaten in Jerusalem
Third tithe: 3rd and 6th years given to widows, poor, orphan and Levites within the gates.
Can any tither reading this have spent 10% of their income during festivals (Christmas, New Year, Easter etc) ?
Have you ever tithed to poor, widows and orphans every 3rd and 6th year?
Jews did not tithe during the 7th year and during the year of Jubilee!!!
