They broke the play down afterwards. If you watch the right guard for Michigan, it's his assignment to pull and block Clowney (something they had been doing all day) while the tackle and tight end shoot through and block the linebackers. So yeah, he went unblocked, but only because he outran the pulling guard. Actually, he almost outran the quarterback to the handoff.

Wow, I guess every time a guy posts an upper body movement (not even his full workout) people talk about all the leg work he's missing, as if this is only thing he ever does.
Also, I love the youtube pictures that go with names now. Most of the kids telling this man to work on his legs have necks like pencils and will probably never squat their own bodyweight. Chain push-ups like these are incredibly effective and brutal. Respect for this guy and his trainer.
