Slade just turned 13 years old in February and is still actively playing solo concerts.

* * * * A big Congrats to Slade for working so diligently on passing all his exams (with flying colors!) to graduate from Grand Point Academy this spring. Now that he has earned his high school diploma, he will be attending university to begin an Associate's degree program in the fall of 2011. Good job Slade! * * * *

Over the past few years, Slade has been honing his performance skills by giving more than 98 performances at senior homes and other community service venues.
With the money he earns - after keeping a little for himself - he supports animal-related charities.

Slade was the 1st Place, Grand Prize winner at the AS Presents - Talent Showcase at Chico State University last spring! He was the youngest entrant by 4 years in a field of mostly college-age competitors. Out of the 34 acts that auditioned, Slade was one of the 14 that were selected to participate in the show. He did a great job and got rave reviews from each of the four judges.

As part of his award, he recently performed his solo show on the Chico State campus quad to the delight of the noontime crowd of students, faculty, visitors and staff.
It was his first ever outdoor concert and he loved every minute of it :)
