@gilmore7888 During the first part of the fight, if you look closely, there's a fiery hand holding the sword. So it's probably being controlled by whatever the hand belongs to.

I think Mr. Hare has gotten at the heart of the issue here: games are being made for the mainstream rather than game enthusiasts, so many games are designed by committee now instead of being made by a developer with a great idea.

This is a great example of a game that spawned sequels that outclassed it in every way. As much as I love it, some of its sequels are among the most incredible games that I've ever experienced.

I remember playing the deluxe edition in elementary school. I always set the pace to grueling and took shortcuts because that was the only way to finish it before free period ended!

Excellent! Monkey Island is one of my favorite adventure games, along with Day of the Tentacle. So much fun to play, and they're witty, too!

For a game released in 1986, those are some beautiful visuals. I have always been a fan of the art styles used in video games. Art styles of course meaning the way the visuals are made and not how "advanced" they are. It's a shame more modern games tend to lack captivating visual styles.

I remember back in the 90s everyone I knew was raving about this game. Sadly, I couldn't play it because my computer at the time didn't have a CD-ROM drive.
