And yes, they did rework the ageing in the show. In season 1, Cory and Eric were 4 years apart. Now, they're 2 years apart.

If you partake in a monogamous relationship, you don't go out with someone else. If one member does so, the relationship is broken (whether he was told to go or not). Of course Topanga wouldn't want Cory to go out with Lauren, but she also wouldn't want to be in a relationship with someone who ...

If Shawn knows "Womanese", why didn't he tell Cory not to go out with Lauren?

And why would Cory's parents support the date if Amy said she wouldn't be with Alan if he had gone out with someone else?

BMW handled child abuse much better than did Full House, IMO. I hope these shows have made young people more proactive in reporting abuse.

@M1995C They're talking about BMW specifically which was usually on at 8:30 but was sometimes aired at 9:30 during the fall of 1996. Didn't you hear the comment about "the curly haired kid keeps digging himself deeper"? It was a reference to what was happening in real time on the show.

Pushing the kids to gr. 11 instead of gr. 9 which they should be in makes the characters' ages line up with the actors' ages (except for Eric).
