The Tin Pot Operation formed in 2003 and have rapidly established a reputation for a blistering live show and a stock of great songs left ringing in the audiences ears. Regularly playing thrilling shows across the Uk and Ireland including a host of shows highlighting the issue of racist attacks in the North. They have left people struggling for comparison. They seem to effortlessly bridge the great chasm between indie-rock and the old school punk of the Clash and the Jam, with a growing, dedicated fanbase in both camps. The TPO are doing something that defies simple definition, with an unmistakeable signature sound delivering a visceral message of defiance that seems to have been missing for far too long.
The 14 track sparse and fractious debut album Manufacturing Dissent staked their claim to the position of the most exciting and fresh sounding bands of recent times; confident, and unafraid of striking out alone. More recently a new EP released Summer 05 asserts the bands pop credentials, with striking hooks, harmonies and choruss spelling out their unmistakable passion.
