There is no doubt that The Jam made a huge impact on music of the late 70's and early 80's and Weller continues to do so. I have always been a massive fan of The Jam but I am sorry to say that in my opinion they didn't do this song justice, The Clash, however, nailed it.

Listen to her singing 'Lost in France' her 2nd single back in 1977 or 78. The listen to her stuff from the early 80's. Just after the op. Her voice was much better and the songs suited her croakyness but it seems that the years haven't been good to Bonnies voice. This song shows that.
