About Me:
Katsumi "Tim" Nagae is a native of Japan and currently resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As well as working as a TV / Video producer for Community Television Network (CTN), a public / local municipal access cable TV station in Ann Arbor, he independently produces documentaries, music videos, promotional videos, industrial / instructional videos and TV studio / on-location programs and has earned a number of national and regional film and video awards and recognitions. Many of his films and TV programs were screened at a number of film festivals and broadcast on PBS.
Nagae is also a musician / guitar player, writing original songs and performing in the Ann Arbor area. He often composes and creates sound track music for his own video and film programs. In December 2010, under his stage name, Katsumi (named after his first name at birth) he produced and released a new CD, "Sequel" comprised of all his original acoustic songs that could be categorized as alternative folk, but that sound distinctively unique and innovative.
Nagae is a permanent resident of the United States. His father, Yukiaki, his mother, Masako and his older brother, Tsuyoshi live in Iizuka-shi, Fukuoka, Japan.
