Rock Band 2 was my main online game for the past three years. I was completely obsessed with it and literally couldn't put it down for other games. Then Rock Band 3 came along and sucked so now I have more time to dedicate to other games. But, you're probably all here for the Rock Band vids so I'll talk about that a bit more.
I've become almost exclusively a vocalist in RB3 and consequently have become very bored with the game so I'm trying to get used to the new instrument engine so I can have some fun with the game.
Previously, I used to play vocals only for full band when someone needed a vocalist and was pretty much exclusive to the instruments. I used to frequently post videos of FCs across all the instruments. Now, I'm just kind of like an old, retired person. I mostly post glitches/engine flaws in RB3 and blatant mischartings on vocals. I'm really only playing anymore because I have the greatest group of friends on there. I am quite the full band whore and have been in over 200 FBFCs. You can find most of them on the ERG channel. ERG, or Elite Rhythm Gaming, is a team of some of the best Rock Band players around who specialize in FBFCs. You can find the link to our channel under the section "Other pages you can find me on".
Long live RB2, its community, all the friendships I made on there, all the bands I subbed in, and all the FCs I got. It was really the best experience anyone could have with any game.
My thoughts on RB3:
Vocals are stupid an inconsistent. I used to like this vocal engine but only because it's so easy to abuse and it was fun for a while. It got old though. There's so many glitches with score that make this game unplayable to a competitive person. It's only a matter of time before it's impossible to get any legitimate first place scores. The fact that scorehero has accepted some of this nonsense has turned me off from there.
Non-vocals: I don't understand the hammer-on engine. It seems like every time there's a strumming section with hammer-ons between notes, it wants to register those as hammer-ons (which I don't want) but for streams of hammer-ons I'm having a lot of trouble. I can't get trill lanes to work at all. Maybe it's the visuals or just the timing window but whatever it is, I can't get used to it. Drums, I'm honestly too lazy to mess around with. I haven't had much motivation to drum since I continually failed at FC'ing Cuz U R Next. I seem to have hit a wall long ago on drums.
At least from the patch, the instruments are finally playable.

LOL. Not on the regular basis. I am more of The Fratellis kind of Alternative guy. Otherwise, I'm not much of a Jane's Addiction kind of guy... Well, I was a few years ago. I still find his pierced nipples orgasmic though.
